Feed the Homeless Food Drive
Every year BIKE4LIFE attempts to give back to the city that shows constant support for our mission; raising awareness for life-threatening diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Diabetes, Obesity, and Breast Cancer.
The BIKE4LIFE Feed the Homeless Food Drive is an event that was created to help feed Chicagoans in need and raise awareness for our cause. We do this by having individuals deliver food via bicycle couriers. We have a group of professional cooks that prepare and package the food so that it can be distributed.
The event is coordinated by organizing volunteer bikers into groups of four, loading them up with the packaged meals, and dispatching each group on a assigned route to deliver the food directly to those in need. As soon as they deliver all of the food, they are done. The volunteers can choose to come back and reload to deliver more food if they please to do so.
This event wouldn't be possible without the support of everyone spreading the word along with in-kind donations from people like you.
